LTE to be leading mobile systems tech by 2020 with 44.5% share LTE (including LTE-Advanced and LTE-Advanced Pro) is forecast to be the leading mobile systems technology by 2020 with 44.5% (3.8 billion) share of total global mobile subscriptions. Already more users connect to 4G/LTE subscriptions than any other technology. For example, in Q4 2015 LTE subscriptions increased by 155.9 million, which was 75% higher than 3G/WCDMA-HSPA subscriptions growth of 89.2 million.
