In order to create a new company profile and associate an existing user account, you will need to have administrator access to the GSAcom website backend.
From the admin dashboard, on the left-hand navigation bar, find ‘Users’:
This will give you a list of the existing WordPress users on the site. Click the ‘Edit’ link when you choose a user from the list:
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and locate the User Roles. Select ‘FWA Directory Supplier’ from the list and then click the ‘Update User’ button. This will upgrade the user role to have access to the FWA Directory (they will retain any existing user roles in addition to this one).
To create the new company profile in the Directory, go to the ‘FWA Suppliers’ post type by accessing it from the left-hand sidebar:
On the ‘FWA Suppliers’ listings page, click the ‘Add New’ button at the top of the page:
This page will allow you to create a new company profile in the FWA Directory.
The following fields are not available to the Supplier and therefore must be filled in by the admin:
Find the ‘Author’ dropdown, as shown in the below image:
Select the appropriate user from the list, and click the ‘Update’ button located on the top of the page. This will now associate the user with this supplier profile.
To hide a company from showing on the directory, first, access the Suppliers post type in the admin dashboard. Then select a specific supplier (in the example below, NetGear has been chosen):
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and find ‘Hide supplier profile & products’:
Click the toggle until it says ‘Yes’. Then click the update button which is located at the top of the page:
This will now hide the company profile and its associated products.
If a product/supplier profile has had previous edits/revisions, you can view a history of the changes by doing the following:
Access a supplier profile or a product via the WordPress dashboard sidebar.
On the right-hand side, in the ‘Publish’ box, click the ‘Browse’ link.

You will then end up on the following page:
You now have access to the previous edits/revisions. Clicking on ‘Previous’ or the arrows will allow you to access revisions for that specific post.
When a product is added to the site for the first time by a supplier, you will receive an email like this:
Clicking the links in the email will either take you to the edit screen or to where you can preview the product.
