5G Experience November 2025

This report uses data from Opensignal to assess global 5G network performance in various metrics, including availability, download and upload speeds, video quality and gaming experience.Globally, 384 operators have launched or soft-launched 5G networks, with T-Mobile Puerto Rico, T-Mobile US and Jio in India leading in Opensignal’s Time on 5G metric.

Regionally, Puerto Rico and India also ranked highest in overall 5G availability. For download speeds, KT and SK telecom in South Korea excel, both surpassing 460 Mbps. Continuing this strong performance, South Korea leads in upload speeds, with SK telecom achieving 57.2 Mbps.In video streaming, most operators achieved a “Very Good” rating according to the latest Opensignal data; Europe is a standout, but only one country received an “Excellent” grade. The gaming experience was similarly positive, with SK telecom in South Korea again scoring highest.

Operators and markets in Asia–Pacific, the Middle East, North America and the Nordic region offer a very good mobile network experience. However, in Western Europe, Africa and Latin America they provide relatively weak video and gaming experiences. In many cases, users would benefit if operators raised network investment levels.
