The GSA FWA Forum membership includes vendors from across the infrastructure, chipset, module, software and CPE value chain for FWA.
One of the main deliverables is the annual FWA CPE Survey report to help the industry better estimate the real market size of the 4G-5G fixed wireless access market. The 2026 survey report is available to download here. The Forum also maintains the FWA Directory, the industry’s most comprehensive online catalogue promoting a wide range of FWA devices, chipsets and modules.
In addition, plenary events featuring a wealth of speakers from mobile operators, regulatory bodies and the equipment supply industry all discussing and debating a wide range of key FWA industry topics are organised in order to promote 4G-5G FWA adoption for the benefit of citizens and businesses worldwide. GSA FWA Forum’s FWA CPE Market Annual Survey

The purpose of the GSA FWA Forum is to educate the industry about the fixed wireless access (FWA) market. There are currently no agreed market definitions, there is a lack of market information and no consensus about the volume of FWA device shipments and FWA installed base globally.
GSA’s annual FWA CPE market survey aims to address these issues. It was first conducted in 2021 and this report presents the findings of the 2026 survey, where data was collected from April-July 2026. A total of 15 vendors of customer-premises equipment (CPE) from the GSA FWA Forum answered the survey, which together form a statistically valid representation of the 3GPP-based FWA device market.
Participants in the 2026 edition survey included: Askey, BEC Technologies, Changhong, Megatower/Da Ta Technologies, Gemtek, GreenPacket, Huawei, Jaton Technology, Shenzhen Jointelli, Netcomm, Tozed Kangwei, Vantiva, WNC, YaoJin Technology, Xiamen/Four-Faith Communication Technology.
“5G FWA is clearly proven globally as a technology to offer fast, economically attractive and future-proof broadband services, particularly in rural and less densely populated areas. In markets such as North America and India, 5G FWA is capturing a large share of the high speed broadband market, meanwhile markets such as Africa are at the starting phase of that growth cycle. The results from this year’s survey are really encouraging not just for the health of the FWA device ecosystem, but for what they mean for mobile operators’ ability to monetise their 5G spectrum and network investments. As operators increasingly deploy 5G Standalone (SA) networks, the device ecosystem and installed base of FWA devices stands ready to benefit from the performance and capabilities of 5G SA.”– John Yazlle, chairman of the GSA FWA Forum.
The survey is intended to be repeated annually to create a baseline of data about the global 4G and 5G FWA market. This report presents a summary of selected survey findings.

GSA FWA Forum’s Contribution to EC’s consultation on White Paper: “How to master Europe’s digital infrastructure needs?”
Representing the 4G-5G FWA industry voice, the GSA FWA Forum participated to the public consultation about European Commission´s (EC) on their White Paper entitled “How to master Europe’s digital infrastructure needs?” which describes possible scenarios in the rollout of future connectivity networks in Europe trying to address a range of identified challenges.
Among them, bringing broadband connectivity to all EU citizens is a critical one. Indeed, millions of European households still lack access to fast and reliable broadband. Bridging this connectivity gap will require a range of different technologies, in particular for the decommissioning of the copper network. In line with FWA Forum’s recommendation to see FWA playing a greater role to help fix this connectivity issue, we are pleased to see 5G FWA mentioned in the section “Pillar II: Completing the Digital Single Market” of the white paper. Indeed, 5G FWA offers a fast, economically attractive and future proof alternative to deploying broadband services, in particular for rural and less densely populated areas where there is a connectivity gap and fiber deployment costs are high. Moreover, 5G FWA deployments bring more choice for consumers, creating a competitive and affordable broadband market.

4G/5G FWA Device Ecosystem Company Directory

The GSA FWA Forum Device Ecosystem Catalogue contains an overview of the growing number of companies involved in the 3GPP Fixed Wireless Access Device Ecosystem.
Companies are grouped according to where they sit in the ecosystem (ie. Chipset Suppliers, Module Suppliers or Device Suppliers). For each company there is also a single page overview of who they are and where further information can be obtained is provided.
A simple overview of all Fixed Wireless-related products being marketed at the time of issue by each company is also included.
