1800MHz Spectrum Band 3.

There are 327 LTE or LTE-Advanced networks using 1800 MHz (Band 3) spectrum.

Far more LTE networks have been deployed at 1800 MHz (band 3) than in any other frequency band. Band 3 is now widely used throughout Europe, APAC, MEA and is also deployed in selected countries in South America. It has become a core band for LTE deployments. There are mobile and FWA LTE networks in 137 countries/territories using 1800 MHz either as a single band for the provision of services or as part of a multi-band deployment. Band 3 is now used by just over 46% of all LTE or LTE-Advanced network operators worldwide (down slightly on the previous report as the number of new LTE network launches has outpaced the number of new networks adopting 1800 MHz). The adoption of 1800 MHz worldwide has greatly assisted international roaming for mobile broadband services.

We have identified 327 LTE or LTE-Advanced networks that are using 1800 MHz (Band 3). Data is taken from GSA’s NTS database, correct as of 4 January 2019, and includes mobile and FWA LTE networks.
