LTE has been launched by 164 operators in 58 countries in the Middle East and Africa (including fully mobile networks and FWA broadband networks using LTE)

Operators in a further three countries are investing. Networks are planned in Niger and Togo, and pre announcement trials have been conducted in Djibouti

But most of the world’s remaining LTE ‘not-spots’ can be found in the Middle East and Africa. Not-spots include: Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Guinea, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, Togo, Western Sahara and Yemen.
