Industry support for the APT700 band plan is strong. Whereas APT700 provides both FDD and TDD spectrum arrangements, it is the FDD plan (3GPP band 28) that has gained global support from industry and regulators in markets addressing approaching 4 billion people.

At least 45 countries have allocated, committed to, or recommend allocating APT700 FDD (band 28) spectrum for LTE deployments, as listed in this short status summary, which is an extract from the Evolution to LTE report published on April 8, 2016.

APT700 band 28 is licensed to mobile operators in 13 countries.

14 operators have commercially launched LTE networks using APT700 band 28 spectrum and are listed together with information about the APT700 user devices that have been announced.
