SNAPSHOT: APT700 band global status: regulatory status, network deployments, and user devices ecosystem
Industry support for the APT700 band plan is strong. Whereas APT700 provides both FDD and TDD arrangements, it is the FDD plan (3GPP band 28) that has gained global support from industry and regulators in markets addressing approaching 4 billion people.
At least 43 countries have allocated, committed to, or recommend allocating APT700 FDD (band 28) spectrum for LTE deployments, as listed in this short document, which is an extract from the Evolution to LTE report published on January 25, 2016.
