The GSA Evolution to Narrow Band IoT (NB-IoT) is a new quarterly report from GSA that will track and report on the progress of this 3GPP technology.
The report covers the progress of the standardisation of NB-IoT which should be frozen in June 2016 as part of Release-13.
Also covered is the progress operators are making around the world on deploying technologies to deliver on the promise of billions of connected things by 2025.
The report tracks Cat-1 and Cat-M1 commercial networks and trials and covers the Cat-NB1 pre-standard trials that operators, network suppliers, silicon vendors and module & device companies have been actively progressing.
GSA is also forecasting the number of IoT networks that will be commercially launched in the coming months and reporting on this progress throughout the year.
