Huawei joins Executive Board of Global mobile Suppliers Association

26th October 2015: Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) is pleased to announce that mHuawei, a global leader of ICT solutions, has joined the GSA Executive Board.
Huawei has been a member of GSA since 2011 and has already participated in GSA projects as a member company. Huawei will help drive GSA strategy along with Ericsson and Qualcomm Incorporated, the other GSA Executive members.
“The whole of the GSA Executive Committee would like to welcome Huawei to the Executive Board,” said Joe Barrett, President – GSA. “Together with the existing executive members, Huawei will help GSA to broaden its research into new segments and services such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G.”
“GSA is recognised as the authoritative source and most up to date information on mobile broadband development,” said Mathias Gabrysch, Vice President – Huawei and the nominated Huawei GSA Executive Board member. “As the evolution of LTE continues and we start to prepare for 5G and myriad of mobile related services, Huawei and the other GSA Executive members can help the mobile industry to gain a knowledgeable understanding of how the wireless industry is evolving to deliver greater efficiency and a better mobile broadband user experience.”
GSA is working on a series of 5G and IoT reports that are part of the GSA commitment to help the mobile industry better understand the evolution to even faster data speeds, higher network capacity and new mobile applications that will require a more IP centric mobile network. In addition a significant new LTE Broadcast report will be available by the end of October. The GSA Evolution to LTE report has just been updated and can be downloaded from the GSA web site at www.gsacom.com.
