FWA CPE Market Survey 2026
The 2026 GSA Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) CPE Vendor Survey provides a snapshot of the global 3GPP-based FWA device market, based on responses from 15 leading FWA customer-premises equipment vendors across the industry. Conducted between April and July 2026, the survey tracks shipment volumes, technology adoption and product trends across the FWA ecosystem.
Now in its latest edition, the survey has become an important annual benchmark for understanding how the FWA market is evolving. This year’s findings show continued growth in global FWA shipments, increasing adoption of 5G Standalone, emerging momentum behind RedCap devices, and growing interest in AI-enabled CPE capabilities.
Highlights
- Total FWA device shipments are forecast to grow 16% in 2026, reaching 23 million units.
- 5G FWA devices are expected to account for 69% of all shipments in 2026, up from 60% in 2025.
- 96% of 5G FWA shipments in 2025 supported 5G Standalone, with further growth expected in 2026.
- 5G RedCap FWA shipments are forecast to grow almost fourfold during 2026.
- Integrated indoor CPE continues to be the largest and fastest-growing FWA device category.
- Vendors identify AI as a key opportunity to improve Wi-Fi performance, in-home connectivity and overall 5G user experience.
