Approve-IT Inc., founded in Minnesota by John Grinager in 1995, is a trusted partner of hundreds of manufacturers, test labs, distributors and consultants for the worldwide type approval process of common consumer and industrial wireless equipment (e.g. 3G, 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Z-Wave, RFID). Our mission is to make the latest electronic equipment available globally by assisting clients with our cost cost-effective and timely market access and information services. Approve-IT’s daily type approval work also includes helping manufacturers obtain global EMC, Safety (low-voltage), Green (e.g. energy efficiency, WEEE, RoHS), encryption, Human Exposure (SAR) and IMEI registrations/approvals. As part of its type approval work, Approve-IT actively researches changes in test standards (e.g. ETSI, ANSI, IEC, EN, UL, CISPR), regulatory compliance legislation and processes. Approve-IT reviews national frequency allocation plans and discusses with regulators which bands are unlicensed bands and reserved for short range devices. Approve-IT also works with regulators on applying their own policies to new and developing technologies. As members of the TCBC and RED CA, Approve-IT has been active participants in industry conferences and workshops, and regular presenters of international regulatory information.
