Since the previous edition of this report in July, the number of announced 5G devices reached a total of 2,142 devices, with the proportion of commercially available devices now up to 87.4%.

Summary statistics from the latest update on the 5G device ecosystem include:

29 announced form factors
286 manufacturers with announced available or forthcoming 5G devices
3,142 announced devices, of which at least 2,747 are understood to be commercially available
1,089 announced devices with support for standalone 5G in sub-6 GHz bands, 895 of which are commercially available
Fixed wireless access CPE represents 10.1% of announced 5G devices, as more manufacturers continue to roll out the technology
Phones are the most prevalent 5G device, with the number of announced phones rising by 14% since the end of December 2023
The number of commercially available devices has been growing steadily since the start of the year and should continue in this manner. Full information about devices in our GAMBoD database is provided in an annex for GSA members, including key details such as form factors, features and support for spectrum bands.
