Countries/territories/SARs and disputed territories (“countries”) that have recently auctioned/allocated/licensed spectrum specifically useable for 5G on a long-term basis, or technology-neutral spectrum that could be used for 5G.

  • By 7 March 2019GSA had identified the following countries that had auctioned/allocated/licensed spectrum specifically useable for 5G on a long-term basis:
  • Australia, Finland, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Mexico, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, UAE, UK
  • In addition, the following countries had auctioned/allocated/licensed spectrum on a technology-neutral basis that could be used for 5G:
    • Austria, Czechia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, USA
