The latest data from GSA showed that 823 operators have commercially launched public LTE networks offering broadband fixed wireless access and/or mobile services, a net growth of just six operators in 2023.
Within this, 437 operators have launched public LTE fixed wireless access services (excluding those offering MiFi or dongle services only) and 795 operators offer public mobile LTE services.
In 5G services, GSA has identified 582 operators in 173 countries and territories that have been investing in 5G networks in the form of tests, pilots, licence acquisitions, planned and actual deployments. This is an increase of five operators since the previous update in October.
As of the end of November 2023, there are now 1,279 customers deploying private mobile networks based on LTE or 5G. This report highlights these findings included in GSA’s NTS database, as well as Opensignal network speed data.
