5G rollout continues to accelerate
• As of end December 2021, GSA had identified 487 operators in 145 countries/territories investing in 5G
• Of those, a total of 200 operators in 78 countries/territories had launched commercial 3GPP-compatible 5G services (either mobile or FWA)
• 99 operators are identified as investing in 5G standalone for public networks (including those evaluating/testing, piloting, planning, deploying as well as those that have launched 5G SA networks)
• 20 operators as having deployed/launched 5G standalone in public networks
