5G-Ecosystem December 2023 Summary
Between October and November 2023, the number of announced 5G devices picked up 4% to 2,277 devices, with the proportion of commercially available devices now up to 83%.
Summary statistics from this latest update on the 5G device ecosystem include:
28 announced form factors
255 manufacturers with announced available or forthcoming 5G devices
2,277 announced devices, of which at least 1,186 are understood to be commercially available
1,096 announced devices with support for standalone 5G in sub-6 GHz bands, 902 of which are commercially available
Fixed wireless access CPE represents 14% of announced 5G devices, as more manufacturers continue to roll out the technology
The number of commercially available devices has been growing steadily since the start of the year and should continue in this manner.
