Asia-Pacific region adds more than half a billion new LTE subscriptions in a year 22 March 2018, London – The Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) confirms that LTE now accounts for more than a third of all mobile subscriptions globally (35.7%). GSA Confirms LTE Subscriptions Are Now More Than 32% Of All Global Mobile Subscriptions 8 December 2017, London – The Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) confirms that LTE subscriptions now account for 32.4% of all mobile subscriptions globally. Analysing the latest information, provided to GSA by Ovum, shows growth of nearly 838 million new LTE subscriptions in the year to September 2017 compared to nearly 776 million the year earlier. That equated to a 49.2% rise over the twelve-month period.

GSA, the Global mobile Suppliers Association, confirms that LTE technology continues to dominate mobile growth and now connects almost 1 in 4 mobile subscribers globally. By the end of Q3 2016 the total LTE subscriptions worldwide had reached 1.683 billion, an increase of 230 million over the 2Q figures. GSA analysed mobile subscriptions data provided to GSA by Ovum Ltd for Q3 2016.
